Visit in The National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, Italy

The National Museum of Science and Technology “Leonardo da Vinci” is one of the non-art museums that I’ve visited in the month long journey. Having a large collection of works covering different parts of science: from practical to theoretical, from ancient to modern. The visit is carefully curated, sharing below is some of it’s exhibitions.

1 - Regina Margherita Thermoelectric Plant

The thermoelectric plant is large and occupies the entrance hallway, although it is a key part of the history, placing it permanently in such a space seems a bit wasted.

2 - 100 Colours

3 - Leonardo da Vinci Galleries

The Leonardo da Vinci Galleries shows the journey of Leonardo’s creation and studies in a all rounded manner, showing his studies in drawings, models and more.

4 - Space

The space area is quite small, but covers a large variety of space study journey. From ancient studies of astronomy to current frontier of space travel. Although the interactive VR game is not available the day of my visit, other things are still attractive enough for me!

5 - Nutrition #FoodPeople

6 - Telecommunications

The telecommunications sector is another sector showcasing a long history of communications, from interpersonal communications to broadcasting.

7 - Particle Physics - Extreme

Although the physics exhibition is interesting, but having a gallery in the exhibition with a piano next to it is such a fun thing.

8 - Rail Transport

Having real tracks and rails, placing trains from different times, some of the trains even can get on board and have a look at it’s system.

9 - Vega Launcher

Having rain at that day, so I did not walk under the rain to see the 1:1 replica space shuttle.

10 - Naval Transport

From 1:1 ships to models, from war-ships to cargo ships. Showing different naval transportation methods and technologies in a group, but the intended travel outline is quite messy.

Listed above is the 10 major stops and exhibitions that I have been to, the museum housed even more exhibits and zones that I don’t have time to visit, when traveling in the museum, the navigation is one of the hard part, as the building housing the first 7 parts of the exhibitions are situated in a building with corridors relatively narrow. So that after visiting some of the exhibitions, I need to return through the same path, while in some other case, I will have my visit at the end, and transverse back to the start of the exhibition for my journey.
